Terms.

The house rules. These terms are written plainly so you can actually read them. By using Tonight you agree to them.

1. What Tonight is

Tonight is an iOS application that surfaces happy-hour deals near you, plans walkable crawls around them (solo or with a crew), and features short clips from approved local creators. Venue data is gathered from public sources and normalized by an AI extraction pipeline. We try to keep it accurate, but it is not guaranteed to match what each bar actually serves tonight.

2. Who can use it

• You must be at least 21 years old (or the legal drinking age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher).
• You must use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes (creators: see section 8).
• Don't use Tonight to scrape, mirror, or build a competing dataset from our content.

3. Your account

Signing in (phone or Google) creates an account tied to that identifier. You're responsible for what happens under your account. If you suspect someone else has access, contact us immediately at support@tonightapp.com.

4. Accuracy and AI disclaimer

We do our best to show correct hours, prices, and deals, but the underlying data is extracted automatically from third-party sources by AI and changes frequently. The same goes for AI-planned crawls and vibe-search results — they are suggestions, not guarantees. A bar may have ended a deal, changed its hours, or closed without our knowing. Always confirm with the venue before relying on the information for a major decision.

5. Clips and other user content

Approved creators can publish short video clips; every user can flag venue info, report clips, and block creators. For anything you post:

• You own it; we get a license to display it. You keep ownership of your content. By publishing, you grant Tonight a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, transcode, display, and promote it within the app and in materials about the app, until you delete it or your account.
• You must have the rights. Only post what you shot or have permission to use, and make sure identifiable people in it are okay being filmed. Music, logos, and venues in the background of a real place are fine; ripped content is not.
• Zero tolerance for objectionable content. No nudity or sexual content, hate, harassment, threats, violence, or anything illegal. Clips must be about food, drink, and real places.
• Everything is moderated. Clips are screened by AI and reviewed before going live. Users can report any clip and block any creator; we act on reports — typically within 24 hours — and we may remove content or revoke creator access at our discretion, with or without notice.
• Copyright complaints. If you believe content in Tonight infringes your rights, email legal@tonightapp.com with the content, the venue/creator, and proof of ownership; we'll take it down while we review.

6. Group crawls

• Crawl join codes are shareable by design. Anyone with the code can join until the crew is full — share accordingly.
• Your display name and votes are visible to the other members of a crawl.
• Hosts can lock the plan and end the crawl for everyone. When a crawl ends, its lobby is gone.
• Crawl responsibly. Know your limits, and don't drink and drive — walk, transit, or rideshare.

7. Reminders and notifications

If you enable reminders, iOS schedules a local notification on your device. We don't guarantee delivery — iOS can delay, drop, or batch notifications based on system conditions. Treat reminders as a helpful nudge, not a promise.

8. The creator program

• Applying doesn't guarantee acceptance; we review applications by hand and verify what you submit. Don't inflate your numbers.
• Creator ("studio") access is a revocable privilege, not a right, and comes with a clip limit. Breaking the content rules in section 5 loses you the studio.
• The program is currently unpaid and creates no employment, agency, or partnership relationship. You may not accept payment from venues to feature them without disclosing it to us.

9. Acceptable use

• Don't use Tonight to harass venue staff, creators, or other patrons.
• Don't reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code.
• Don't use the app to violate any local law (including, obviously, drinking-and-driving laws — please walk, transit, or rideshare).

10. Intellectual property

The app, its design, its name ("Tonight"), and its styling are ours. You get a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on your devices. Third-party logos and venue names belong to their respective owners; creator clips belong to their creators (see section 5).

11. Termination

You can delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how). We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms — including creator access specifically — with notice when possible.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

Tonight is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that the data is accurate, the app will be uninterrupted, or that it will fit a particular purpose. Use it as a guide, not as gospel.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of your use of Tonight is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months, or (b) $50. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including missed deals, closed kitchens, or a bad night out.

14. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms periodically. Material changes will be surfaced in the app on next launch. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Kings County, New York.
